The Rinnai installation manual is detailed and will be of great assistance when installing.
Here is a brief overview : A rinnai heater is very easy to install, after selecting the location and considering the clearences stipulated, you will need to make a 3 1/8 Hole in the outside wall where heater is being installed.
The vent flue pipe is installed through the hole and secured with a mounting flange on outside and hanger iron straps drawn tight to the inside flange.
Attach the air inlet hose and the vent exhaust to the manifold.
Next run 1/2 gas line to within 24 inches of the heater and then use our installation kit which includes a 1/2 gas valve and flex line to connect to the Rinnai unit.
Plug the Rinnai into a standard wall outlet, a surge supressor is highly recommended, and you are ready to go.
We do recommend you contact a Rinnai instller in your area or plumbing contractor to install your heater adhering to local codes.
Please refer to the Temperature Guidline chart for both Vented and Vent Free Rinnai Heaters.
